Privacy policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
MathBlowing Learning Centre is responsible for personal information in its custody or control. This policy describes the information we collect, why we need it, how it is protected, and the choices available to parents and guardians.
Information we collect
The parent intake form may collect a parent or guardian’s name, phone number, email address, contact preference, the student’s grade range and subject, learning concerns, desired outcome, previous support, timing, availability, optional notes, consent records, and advertising attribution such as UTM parameters. Please do not submit the student’s full name, school, medical information, report card, or other sensitive records through this form.
Purposes and consent
We use enquiry information to respond to the request, assess whether the service is a suitable fit, prepare for the call and assessment, schedule services, maintain enquiry records, prevent abuse, and measure which advertising produces legitimate enquiries. Service-response consent is required so we can answer the request. Consent for later learning tips or promotional messages is optional and can be withdrawn.
How we use and share information
We do not sell or rent personal information. Access is limited to MathBlowing personnel and service providers who need it for the purposes above. Providers may support website hosting, database storage, analytics, advertising, scheduling, and communications. Information may also be disclosed where required or permitted by law.
Advertising and analytics
Meta Pixel loads only after a visitor accepts optional cookies. It may receive page, browser, advertising, and enquiry-event information. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent use of the form. See our cookie policy.
Safeguards and location
We use access controls and reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information. Website and advertising providers may process information outside British Columbia or Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
Retention
New enquiry records are assigned a two-year review date. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer reasonably required, subject to legal, accounting, dispute, safeguarding, and ongoing-service needs. Consent records may be retained while communications continue and for a reasonable period afterward.
Access, correction, and withdrawal
You may request access to or correction of your personal information, withdraw optional marketing consent, or ask about deletion where legally available. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier authorized handling and may limit our ability to provide a requested service.
Privacy contact and complaints
MathBlowing’s privacy contact is responsible for questions and requests. We may need to verify identity before providing access or making a change. If a concern is not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
